My Journey
My name is, Saul Octavio Hernandez Andrade. I come from a family that is really caring and warm hearted. My family have shown me that caring is really important in life and in order for others to respect you, you must respect them. My family has been threw so much in the last few years, but it has also brought us more and more together.
I have three sisters, but sadly no brothers. I have always wanted a brother, because I couldn't play the games I wanted to play with my sisters because they were to gentle. Two of my sisters are older than me and the other is younger. I am a middle child. My oldest sister lives in Mexico I don't really talk to her. I barely found out about my oldest sister when I was a freshmen. From time to time we will talk on the phone, but I never seen her face to face I hope one day I do though. My second oldest sister is currently trying to become a dentist.
When I was younger I lived in Strathmore, I loved it over there because I had cousins close by and I would always go to there house. Up until I was six years old my family lived with my aunt. My aunt really helped us out when we needed her, she gave us a place to stay and she supported us with food and other necessaries. When I turned six my Dad got a job in Lindsay and it really helped my family, after he got his job we moved out of my aunts house and got a house in Lindsay. Without my aunt I wouldn't be where i'm at today.
Growing up I made many mistakes, but I don't regret them because I learn from them. Something that really got me motivated is hearing my parents talk about how good my cousin did in school. When I heard my mom tell my dad how proud she was it motivated me to get better at school. That year was my eighth grade year and it turned out that, that year I got rewarded the mustang of the year award. This award was really important to me because only one person got it during that school year and they would post your picture up in the office. I am proud that I got this award because it made my mom really happy and I also got some treats from my parents. This event taught me that no matter how hard the task might be or even if you think you can't do it, there has to be something that motivates you to achieve it.
If it wasn't for my mom talking about how happy she was that my cousin was doing good in school, I wouldn't have achieved this goal. All these events in my life have made me the kind of person I am today a nice, caring, forgiving, warm hearted person. I wouldn't change nothing from my past, because I am happy with who I am today.
