A lot of things have changed since my last journal entry. For starters my work ethic has really decreased. I am not working as hard as I used to before but I am planing on getting back on track. Another thing that changed is that my classes got more serious with work being done. My senior year is pretty easy, so far this has been my easiest year in high school, this is due to the fact that I worked really hard my sophomore and junior year. Towards the end of the semester I am on pace for five out of seven classes. The two classes that I am behind on I could catch up easily, I just need to spend my time more wisely. Before this semester is over I want to catch up on the two classes that I am currently behind in which are economics and english, these classes are really important because I need them to graduate.
I also need to start planning my job shadow for my senior project. I am still thinking of job shadowing a firefighter or a police officer, I really hope to go on a ride along so I could know how a normal day for them is. The job shadow has to be my favorite part of the senior project. My senior project is going pretty good. I am only having trouble with figuring out how to use the website, this is really difficult for me because I can't work on my website unless there is someone that knows how to use the website there with me to help me out. I actually enjoy doing my journals because it gives me a moment to think of all the things that have changed from my last journal entry.
I just recently applied for college of sequoias. My major is fire technology i hope to become a firefighter after I graduate from college. I feel like everybody in my family is supporting me to go to college, I know that you don't have to go to college to become a firefighter but I want to get an education on what I am going to spend the rest of my life doing. My parents did not go to college so they couldn't really help me on applying for college, but my cousin did and she took a lot of time out of her schedule to help me and I am really thankful for that. At first my mom did not support me being a firefighter, she wanted me to work in an office where it is safe but I don't see myself doing that. I really enjoy helping people and feeling needed. My dad wanted me to become a upholstery worker just like him but that did not interest me. Both my parents now support me and just want what’s best for me, I know I could rely on my parents if I ever need help with anything after high school.
